Adult Psychotherapy

Adults who seek psychoanalytic or (psychodynamic) psychotherapy are experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, and/or behavioral difficulties that are impeding their health, relationships, and productivity and lead to low self-esteem and poor self-worth. This form of psychotherapy is focused on self-understanding and deepening insight into one’s emotional issues and conflicts, which underlie the presenting difficulties. This is done by exploring one’s unconscious thoughts and feelings.

Typically, the patient comes 1 to 2 times weekly, and the therapy may last months to several years to help them to overcome these life challenges.
